sunsets and strippers
this is a favorite post.

Most girls this day and age find the summer sun an object of damnation on their part - getting yourself darker than Bernie Mac's chest hair certainly isn't the best you could get from a beachy weekend.

But once the threat of UV rays slowly sinks in the distance, you cannot help but... smile.

When you wish to see a sunset closest to those you see on long-sleeved Billabong or Ripcurl t-shirts, go to the provinces. It is at dusk when you get to witness the most spectacular plays of color in the sky; what with the hazy orange sun, brilliant pink clouds, and periwinkle tints in the background - all blending to a grayish dark blue in the atmosphere above, with the occasional dark silhouette of a coconut tree. I can guarrantee that they won't cease to amaze you.

PJ and Vincent rode with us on the long trip to Calatagan Laguna, where we indulged ourselves upon the private beach, heated pool, and the more luxurious rest house (where you get to sit on P250,000 worth of chairs, and play billiards on the 2nd floor). Oh do not think of this as bragging, heck no. The house wasn't ours.

In fact, it was a district outing we went to. About as spiritually elating as any retreat, and as fun as summer camp, it's really something to look forward to; especially since many of us are of the same age group.

Anyway, the ride home was fast enough. I slept the whole time, but not before I found amusement from Campus Radio.

"... And that was T-Pain with 'I'm In Love With A Stripper'. Thank you Mary and Victoria of St. Paul University, Quezon, for tuning in with the request earlier. And now..."

It takes direct association with any of the St. Paul Colleges all over the country, of course, for you to find this remotely interesting in the least. But growing up in a school where morals and religious upbringing are handled by nuns who pretend to be midgets in Christmastime has taught me to notice the trivial defiance housed in the tiniest of things that we Paulinians do.

In other words, pasaway kami.

That concludes the major topics I've stored in mind all day. Now on to the small-fry.

Chico is driving me crazy!! Yes, I know I'd been drooling over him the first few days, but he's proving to be harder than I thought. Anyway, It's not over yet. I still have a few tricks up my sleeve.

Muhohohoa.

Muhahahaha.

Mwahohoohoh.

excuses excuses

Animal Planet featured a dog who could fetch his master his daily dose of Reader's Digest by orders of color, despite popular belief that dogs are color-blind.

Well that's just dandy, isn't it? Some dogs really are smarter than others.

Chico, in his first week in Casa de Piezas has shown me absolutely no reason to suspect him as one of them.

Over the last half-hour he has been desperately trying to dig his way into the carpeting.

Anyway, if he doesn't end up rescuing children from certain death in the mountains like a particular dog we all sickeningly know and love (a.k.a. Lassie), I wouldn't like to blame myself. Unlike some people, who train their dogs all day and smell like they have been doing just that; I have a life. However pointless it may be.

4 weeks to go

Sunday was... interesting. I got my share of sun, sweat, kids, party food, boys in the shower (go figure), and for once this whole year; I slept before 12. Hoohah!

Before ultimately setting the record at 9, though, I couldn't resist watching yet another segment on my favorite channel: National Geographic (snort).

Apparently, you could increase memory-linking hormone thingamajigs by applying stress to your system, after learning information and while trying to extract it.

Last night, going home from SM Ortigas with a new pair of school shoes, I decided to try and prove those smart-ass theories wrong.

But those smart-ass scientists weren't kidding after all.

I was in the middle of texting someone that night when my mind went blank on me, leaving me unable to think of any intelligent retaliation.

But out of nowhere - a word.

Idiosyncrasies.

...

Great. What on earth am I supposed to do with that?

Then I remembered an episode in Lizzie McGuire where said character encountered the same situation. It was the one where she was torn between her loyalty for Miranda and her loyalty for the school paper (wherein she had to put quite frankly that said best friend stunk at some school play). Distractedly, I tried to recall what word she was able to knock out of her brain.

To my utter surprise (not), I forgot what it was.

Some city within a state, or something?

So, I pinched myself.

Yes, it was the only method I could think of to get myself stressed at the moment. (Hey, I was in the car. With my mom.)

Think, think, think.

Pinch, pinch, pinch. Harder.

And there it was. In beautiful red, embedded into gold lining.

SCRANTON.

CRUSHROACH!!

I've got a little treat for all roach-haters out there. Being one myself, I find little surprise at the fact that I am comfortable with the blood and gore I brought about. Here you go, for your viewing pleasure.

crushroach!!

Dannie-copyrighted, of course. So don't even dare.

i need a cure. :-O
this is a favorite post.

I'd been gadding around Eastwood with a fever in the last four hours. And though X-men made it worth all my sniffing, I still feel like crud all the same.

A cure! I need a cure! Gaah. *sniff*

Shawn Ashmore/Bobby Drake/Iceman is as hot as ever, no pun or sarcasm or irony intended.

I came all the way from LGV after yet another sleepover at the Fernandezes. And I'd tossed and turned all night, gave up, and decided to watch Teen Titans while ignoring my smarting throat.

So ngayon 88.6 na ako!! At hindi yan radio station!

Last week held one of those rare occurrences when I'm able to walk around free as a bird in such a mall as Robinson's. A lot of... interesting things happened. So I'll let Steph's entry do the talking. (yan ha inadvertise blog mo)

Happy birthday Kristina, Franco, Adrian, Apple, Trina.
