sleeepy..
this is a favorite post.
my first entry of the year! alright. i'm not in the mood to pour out all the drama that has been accumulating in me right now, sooo... i'll make kwento nalang! yay.
december 31, 2004 | friday
we left the house at 6 pm i think to go to makro, coz mommi had to change the shoes she bought for julian [our bunso] the day before, and she had to buy groceries for the new year party we were going to have in the fernandez [cousins namin] household. my mom, dad and uncle jericho [balikbayan from the states] went inside makro while my two brothers, two cousins, yaya vergie and i waited in the starex. i took time to fix my cousin nicole's hair because her outfit made her look tibo or something. tapos marcel [brother after me], julian, and michael [cousin] were playing with the guns they got for Christmas in the back seats. as soon as sila mommi got back, we drove over to LGV, which was a bit far.
taapos.. we were sorta late when we arrived, kaso di pa naman prepared yung food tables, so i watched SCQ with my other cousins while waiting. the SCQ teen questors were hosting this sort of game show as a part of their elimination thingy. grabe, if theo were to become a game show host in the near future, he would SO need proffessional help. ang awkward nyang tignan. nyih, as if i would do any better.
taapos.. we ate. the food was exquisite. nothing compares to pinoys when it comes to food! 
and then kaming magpinsan played a round of basketball for a while before going outside to take a stroll. tapos nagmagic sing yung mga parents namin 
. i brought along a box of poppers, the ones which sort of explode, well, pop when you throw them onto the ground. we made tambay at this garden of some kind, with a statue of Jesus standing guard over us, while we hid our boredom by throwing poppers onto the grass. all the while cheap fireworks sounded out in the distance, and some fountain sparkers were lit near the neighboring houses. the night was cool, and the air had a familiar burning smell in it. kaya nagbiking kami! haha. i fell pa nga eh. sa sidewalk. haha. diba, ate karin?? 
tapos, we went inside the house ulit and i watched the start of wicker park with my cousins until tinawag na ako ni daddy. and so we left for kamias!
january 1, 2005 | saturday
it was around 11:50 already when we arrived at kamias. so i guess it counts as the 1st of january already! so ayun, we greeted each other happy new year - ay! i forgot to jump pala! to get taller! aayy!!
anyways.. tas my rich balikbayan tita threw coins... and i also collected some of the coins that were lined up in the front yard going to the gate! grabe, the noisiest way to celebrate new year is to go to kamias. there were sooo many fireworks set off in that area! 
tas we ate again. sapin-sapin, puto, sinigang, pancit , apple pie, chocolate cake... pero i only ate sinigang and cake. mind you, ang dami ko nang kinain that night noh! haha. and then nagmagic sing ulit kami.
there's more pa but it's getting late. i'll just post some a pictures here para di kayo bitin. haha.

we arrived home at around 2:30.. tas we brought along with us another apple pie and some of the leftovers. and i slept until 12, i think.
that night, we went to eastwood, me and the rest of the piezas family, i mean. and we ate in shanghai bistro. tapos, we walked around a bit, mostly in the area where the tiangges were set up. and i bought a bag! yipee. 
after that, we met up in the coffee bean, where i saw aia, tas naghi siya sakin.
nagpictures-pictures pa kami. haha. kakahiya nga eh. daming nakatingin. hehe. oh well.
tas ayun. we left. haha. naedit ko na rin to. yess. kaya, here are some of the pics. enjoy.

this is a favorite post.
this time, i'll have honesty take over. last monday [011005], i logged in eager to fill out a new entry, to find that the blogging system was updated. others would say, "oi! new look!", or "naks, nag-makeover!", but me? i was simply surprised! but suspicion caused me to click the unfamiliar "launch site" tab to see if my blog was okay. what can i say? baby ko to eh! haha. 
so there. when the page finally uploaded, i wasn't just surprised. i was flabbergasted! i could see all those html codes i spent time on to research and dig up from other websites [read: websites, not other blogs] being shoved down a toilet bowl before my eyes and flushed forever into a swirling oblivion, where all my other lost fantasies end up in. well, all that drama's over now, since i figured out how to bring back my old template. but seriously, i panicked to death. so, for those who haven't been able to bring back their old layouts yet, it's your lucky day! eto, share ko sa inyo:
so there. ang bait ni dannie noh? haha, kidding. hope you'll be able to get your layouts back soon, so that you wouldn't have to panic as i did. haha. i know that most of you may have figured this out already, but there may be some others who, you know, missed a thing or two. wala lang.

we practiced the whole day on our batch cheer, and just to be frank, our cheer fits our crappy t-shirts. no offense, but they really suck.
sorry nalang to whoever made the shirt design, but the do, honestly suck!
but, don't get me wrong. i totally support my batch. da best talaga yung freshies! it's just that the cheers of the higher levels are much better than ours, and i was disappointed that we couldn't do any better. aww.
oh, well. there's always next year.

yess..
today was the 2nd day of our intrams. and sadly, i didn't have any sport to participate in! huhu. how sad. i soo wanted to try out for the softball team, but some people were too selfish, self-centered, over-confident, and conceited enough NOT to mention the announcement of the try-outs to the whole class. yan tuloy, hindi siya pasado when she tried out herself. hah. buti nga. grr.
gosh, the seniors really had it in softball! ang galing nilang lahat, especially during the seniors vs. sophies game. ang higpit ng match na yun! sila ate janella, ate ricafort, ate aggie, ate chec, ate- basta! lahat na sila! grabe.. idol! 
but although we got smushed real badly on all our games, i realized that that really is the point of being a freshman. i'm pretty sure not one batch before us passed through their 1st year in highschool without suffering the inevitable grasp of loss, specifically in softball. 
we freshmen can't help it, it's the very first time we laid eyes on a bat knowing that we'd eventually get to touch it. 
well, not really. it's the first time we were able to form a team out of our inexperienced huddle of former ms. friginal students. and the only players with exceptional pitching, batting, throwing, and catching abilities in our team were julienne carandang and karla neri. that's it, i'm joining the softbells this summer! haha. oh well. i guess we did great considering the circumstances.

haha. funny. if you attended the freshmen vs. juniors game a while ago, you'd laugh at how the juniors' cheer turned out. mga freshies kasi eh.. malalakas ang vocal chords! haha. dahil yan sa "inhale.. down.. release.. HUH!". haha.
crissa told me a while ago that the school was planning to eliminate all of our varsity teams next year. darn it! i never even got a chance to try out for any of those teams yet! sheesh. 
here's one more cheer we laughed at:

haha, it's like, do these guys know how to spell? nah, just kidding. it would've been easier though to use the actual word sophies and not sophomores. you get to use less syllables for one. haha. 
haay, despite all the losses we've been having since yesterday, we still managed to claim victory over other sports. like badminton, for example. if i heard right, our team is supposed to be the over-all champion in badminton in the high school department! swimming also got the best of us. so did table tennis. and we actually beat the juniors at volleyball. asteeg. 
ooh, by the way. i got my picture taken with ate rizo kanina. wala lang.
so, even if our softball players were beaten to a crisp today and yesterday, we're quite alright. after all, may track and field competition pa sa ultra tomorrow! haha. and we won a significant amount of recognition in the other sports, anyway. and, there is this one saying that permeated the 1st year audience in the sophies vs. freshmen softball game yesterday,
"'di bale. next year, tayo naman bubully sa mga freshmen!"

when it's over..
this is a favorite post.
after 4 extremely boring days of practicing the batch cheer and sitting on the swings watching the seniors' softball team beat the pulp out of the lower levels, i suddenly find myself wishing those days could last forever. minus the practicing of the cheer thing. knowing that most of the extra-curricular events this school year have already happened, i can't help but feel depressed. kasi naman eh. time flies so fast! ang hirap i-imagine na 4th quarter na. damn it. and pretty soon, the seniors will be leaving st. paul. how sad. ang sarap tuloy magka-digicam tulad ng kay jerika. [nyeck, connection?]

galing ng freshies. idol! hehe. grabe, we won 2nd runner up over-all! talo pa yung juniors and sophies. haha! yuck, joke lang. mamaya magka-hate messages pa ako sa tagboard. lahat winners! over-all champions nga pala yung seniors. galing galing.
pumunta kaming mga smb sa ultra kanina. tas we cheered for the freshmen and juniors track members under the hot, scorching sun. yan tuloy, hindi pantay-pantay yung complexions namin. mas maitim yung left side. haha.
ang gagaling ng mga track sa sophies! sige. inaamin ko na. pero of course, magaling rin yung freshmen. i mean, sa mga relay relay karamihan nanalo kami! that's called team work. yes naman. si ate mela ang bilis bilis tumakbo! parang cheeta. di man lang nahimatay pagkatapos. creepy. 
haha, joke lang.
haay, sana talaga forever na pwede maging intrams. o kaya kahit isang month lang. bitin eh! congratulations by the way to all the players who participated in the sportsfest. and also to us non-players who cheered to death! mga nagsakripisyo ng oras at boses para bigyang support yung mga batchmates namin. pati rin sa spcp cheering team! hayup sumayaw! hehe.
i just hope na sana next year, kahit wala na yung mga memorable softball players sa seniors, the sportsfest will still be a thing to look forward to. i hope na magiging classmates ko parin yung mga kabarx ko, or at least some of them, para naman may confidence akong magtry out sa mga sports noh. boring yung walang sport eh.
okay. nalabas ko na ang lahat. asus. kailangan ko nang simulan ang pagbasa ng canal de la reina. please naman, ayoko na! gagawa pa ng report, with visual aid! huhu.

i'm going to make a futile attempt to rewrite what i tried to post yesterday. damn you, tabulas!
argh.
okay, so yesterday, i was given a piece of paper which supposedly contained a dot-matrix print of an estimation of my grueling, hard work the past quarter.
yup. friday, january 21, 2004 was the day we were given our report cards.
you'd think someone died if you passed by the school that time after the last period. naging emoting-central yung spcp.
at least, it was for people like me whose grade point average dropped two points from last quarter's. shoot. shoot, shoot, shoot. damn.

well, i dunno. i guess i pretty much deserve what i got. but, i know it's not my talents which are at fault. it's just..
these stupid study habits!
darn it.
why can't i be as inhumanely hard-working as carmela?
argh.
shoot. i'm so damn kilig right now. it just so happens that i ran across a picture of my crush sa gallery ng isang person sa friendster. then, i saw another picture in the gallery of another account. then in another. and again, in another. tuloy-tuloy na! ayan. kakaprint ko palang. nyaha. dannie, iba na yan!
eh kasi naman. ang gwapo niya sa isang picture. shet. damn. oh my gulay. nyih, haha. taeng expression na yan.
pictures galore! dad should really consider returning the new webcam. or else i'll get too attached to it. nyaha.
